The questions people ask at this point
Will someone phone me?
Not from this page: it asks for a postcode and nothing else. If you go on to request a tailored quote, or a price for a supply the comparison cannot fetch automatically, you will be asked for contact details at that point, and you can see exactly what you are handing over before you do.
How long does it take?
About a minute to see prices. Agreeing a contract takes a few minutes more, and the switch itself completes within five working days, or on a later date you choose, such as the day after your current contract ends.
What does it cost me?
Nothing. When a business agrees a contract, the supplier pays a commission, which is built into the unit rate or standing charge. Any broker fee is set out in the contract's principal terms before you agree, as Ofgem's rules require.
What if I do not have a bill to hand?
Start anyway. The comparison can usually find your meter and usage from your postcode. A bill helps you compare what you are paying now, and our cost calculator turns your current rates into a single all-in figure.
Am I committing to anything?
No. Seeing prices commits you to nothing, and nothing changes until you sign a contract with a supplier. Be aware there is no cooling-off period once you do, so read the terms first.
