What this means for your renewal
Wholesale electricity and gas prices have been climbing. New fixed contracts are priced from forward wholesale costs, so quotes tend to follow the market. If your contract ends in the next six months, it's worth getting quotes now: many suppliers will quote for a contract that starts when your current one ends, so you can lock in a price early.
This describes what has already happened in the market. It is not a forecast. Charts show a 7-day average of daily prices, updated every morning.
